Bristol City grabbed a late equaliser as the Robins denied Tottenham a first win in the Women’s Super League.

Bristol City’s Chloe Logarzo opened the scoring from the spot after Ebony Salmon was brought down by Siri Worm.

Worm soon made amends, equalising from a fine free-kick before assisting Ashleigh Neville who headed in her set-piece midway through the second half.

But, after Spurs’ Rianna Dean was shown a straight red, Salmon netted a 92nd minute equaliser for the hosts.

All the talk before the game surrounded twice World Cup winner Alex Morgan, who was making her first Spurs start at Twerton Park.

Her Tottenham side were the dominant team, deservedly turning the game around before Worm nearly grabbed a second with less than 10 minutes remaining when her free-kick hit the underside of the bar.

But with Dean sent off for her challenge on Robins keeper Sophie Baggaley in the 77th minute, City grew in confidence and 19-year-old Salmon shocked the visitors with a classy finish late on.
